As most of you know, I am awaiting orders for my next assignment; Osan Airbase, South Korea. But what most of you don't know is, that I have been waiting two months on orders since graduation. Within the last two weeks, I have found out along with my fellow airmen going to South Korea with me that half of their HOT (Hands on training) has been cancelled...what does that mean? It means they get orders and get to go home! A week goes by, and we get wind that more of our HOT training has been cancelled...GREAT! Today, Some more get orders; but not me.
For someone whose base has been looking for them since July, isn't having the best of luck these days. It is dissapointing to see others who haven't been here as long as you, leave. It just doesn't make sense to me, why I am not getting my orders and others are. Am I being held back for my own good? I have honestly done everything in my power to help the situation, and it seems that I get nowhere. This is making me feel uneasy about the Air Force. Don't get me wrong, the Air Force has treated me very well! I would just like to get out of this whole Tech. School atmosphere and start my new adventure in life!
I hope that I will receive my orders this week! I pray to God that I get them, and ask that I leave this place soon! I miss my family, my friends. I have served my time here, and feel that I am needed somewhere else besides the third floor pretending to clean it for eight hours.
I'm sorry. I know that gets frustrating. Just remember that God has a plan and there is a reason that you are staying there for the amount of time that you are. I don't know how much that helps, but try to find peace in Him :).
ReplyDeleteAww Kurt, this is so sad! I know how nerve racking waiting can be. Hopefully, everything will work out. :*)
